How to remove a Toyota Corolla MK3 car stereo - (2002 to 2007)

The following is a guide on removing a car stereo or car radio from the above vehicle.

Tools and equipment required to complete the job

  • Screwdriver Set
  • Trim Removal Tools
  • Socket Set

How to remove the stereo step by step:

Start by removing the ashtray from its holder.

Next un-clip the gear stick surround trim off. (You may need to unscrew the gear knob and remove that first!)

Now lift what’s left at the bottom of the dashboard as this is on pressure clips and should juts lift off.

Work your prising tool upwards until the whole centre console is free.

This is all one piece.

Disconnect any wiring looms and plugs from the centre console.

Locate the 4 bolts holding the stereo in place (arrows). Undo these.

Remove radio and disconnect aerial and ISO wiring plugs from back.
