How to remove a Jaguar X Type car stereo - (2001 Onwards)
The following is a guide on removing a car stereo or car radio from the above vehicle.

How to remove the stereo step by step:
Start by un-clipping the gear stick surround.
This should now reveal 2 phillips screws. Undo these.
You should now be able to remove this panel – make sure you disconnect the cig lighter socket wiring from the back.
Now the panel has gone you should be able to see piece of trim plastic that needs popping off the reveal 2 torx screws.
Now pop out the hazard button trim above the stereo. This is on pressure clips.
Again you will now have access to the 2 torx screws holding the top of the stereo in place. Undo these to release the stereo.
Remove radio and disconnect aerial and ISO wiring plugs from back.
