How to remove the stereo step by step:
On each side of the silver stereo, you will see 2 black instrument strips (with buttons on). You need to prise these trims off, they are held on by mild pressure clips.
Now the trims are off, you can remove the 4 phillips screws holding the stereo in position. Its important at this point you DON’T try to lift the top screen console as this is on very delicate clips and could snap.
Now prise and remove the lower heater control unit. This is on pressure clips. If you disconnect any wiring, remember where it goes for when you put it back!
Now pull the stereo forwards, but as you do, carefully lift the top black console (arrowed) upwards being careful not to break any clips off at the front of it. These clips are clipped onto the stereo.
Remove radio and disconnect aerial and ISO wiring plugs from back.
